Ross Fountain Switch-On

Regular readers may remember reading about my time in Edinburgh and presenting a number of chess boards and sets to the Fountain Cafe.

At the time, the fountain itself was in the process of being repaired and restored.

This update is from The Ross Development Trust:

'The Ross Development Trust are delighted to announce that, after a years' absence from Edinburgh, the fully restored Ross Fountain will be unveiled at a free, non-ticketed event in West Princes Street Gardens on Sunday 8th July. Join us from noon and be part of our family-friendly celebration which includes face-painting, live music, street theatre performers and, of course, the big switch-on at 1pm!'

My good friend David Stewart told me that a Fountain Cafe chess session will form part of the celebrations too, so if you are in the vicinity tomorrow then drop in for game and by all means send me some photos if you can.
