ECF Book of the Year 2019

We announced the shortlist for the 2019 English Chess Federation Book of the Year at the end of August and revealed the winner back in October. As is well known, the winner was Game Changer by Mathew Sadler and Natasha Regan, published by New in Chess.

Two thirds of the Book of the Year panel - Ray Edwards and Julian Farrand - were away playing chess during the London Chess Classic so it was my honour to be able top present this year's award.

The presentation came at the end of a talk on the subject by Matthew and Natasha to a full house in the Olympia conference room.

There then followed a signing session and according to information received the full supply of Game Changer sold out over the course of the week.

The evening brought a fabulous celebration, hosted by Allard Hoogland of New in Chess, featuring fine food and excellent company.

Congratulations to Natasha, Matthew, Allard and New in Chess!
