Park End Primary School - Winners of the ECF BCET Award

Today, Catherine Lloyd and I presented Headteacher Mrs. Rodwell with the English Chess Federation’s BCET award, in front of a packed assembly at Park End Primary School in Middlesbrough.

The prize consisted of a top-quality Judit Polgar chess set and pieces, plus a digital chess clock.

Library Plans

Last night brought a pioneering meeting, featuring key members of our team of CSC Library Volunteers.

Plans are afoot; stay tuned.

CPD Session Success

CSC School Staff CPD sessions are exclusively for teachers and teaching assistants looking to support and run chess clubs within their schools.

These sessions take place online and are held after school, between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

We delivered a very successful session earlier this week and there is another due on Tuesday 19 November.
