13h CSC Teesside Team Event: Redcar and Cleveland

The first of our three annual CSC Teesside end-of-year tournaments took place today, with Grangetown Primary School acting as hosts.

This event was for our curriculum schools in the area of Redcar & Cleveland.

Teams from Grangetown, Dormanstown, St. Mary's and Wheatlands were all in action.

Defending champions Wheatlands were on dominant form and won all eight of their games over the course of two excellent rounds of chess.

Elsewhere, the scores were very close indeed and everyone went home with a medal and a certificate.

Thank you to Catherine Lloyd for her invaluable help on the day.
